Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Stacker Operator to join our production team at Atlantic Packaging. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain equipment/machinery to produce quality products in accordance with company quality policy
  • Follow instructions and work collaboratively as a team member to achieve production targets
  • Assist with problem-solving and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Ensure units are stacked neatly and efficiently
  • Perform quality checks before and during production runs
  • Signal the wet end regarding quality issues
  • Make control adjustments as necessary for equipment operation
  • Prepare equipment for shift shutdown and perform daily clean-up and PM tasks
  • Follow all ISO and HACCP procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil level checks and lubrication
  • Report all problems and hazards to supervisors immediately
Safety Responsibilities
  • Follow equipment-specific physical lockout/tagout procedures
  • Complete daily operator checklists for mobile equipment
  • Report all hazards and problems to supervisors
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Abide by all plant rules, safety rules, and regulations
Requirements
  • Minimum Grade 10 education
  • Basic math skills
  • Previous manufacturing experience an asset
  • Machine operation skills
  • Organization skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts
  • Team player
  • Self-starter
