The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse in Charge to lead our long term care team at the Fort Simpson Long Term Care Facility.



Salary


We offer an annual salary of $83,000 - $107,000 depending on experience.



Job Description


As the Director of Long Term Care Operations, you will oversee daily operations and ensure high-quality nursing care for our residents. Your leadership role involves developing and implementing care plans, monitoring care standards, and advocating for our residents. You will also provide direct care and facilitate effective communication among residents, families, and healthcare professionals.



Required Skills and Qualifications


To be considered for this role, you must have a Nursing Degree with a minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience in a long term care setting and at least 1 year of supervisory experience. Supervisory or management training is an asset, and Long Term Care Canadian Nursing Association Geriatric Certification is desirable.
