Lead Nurse

**Job Information**
At the Government of Northwest Territories, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff in our long term and respite care facilities. As the Lead Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the highest quality of nursing care for our residents.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of our residents
- Monitor care standards and act as an advocate for our residents
- Provide direct care and facilitate effective communication among residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Supervise and support a team of nursing professionals to ensure excellent care delivery
**Requirements:**
- Nursing Degree with a minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience in a long term care setting
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
- Supervisory or management training is an asset
- Long Term Care Canadian Nursing Association Geriatric Certification is desirable
