Sales Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team at Performance Auto Group. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers visiting our location, ensuring that their experience is nothing short of outstanding.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize systems and procedures to deliver exceptional customer service on all interactions, giving all customers consideration and respect, understanding their needs, and consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Learn and maintain solid product knowledge on manufacturer-specific vehicles and manufacturer-specific rebate, finance, and incentive programs.
- Project a positive attitude for the benefit of our customers and fellow employees, ensuring that all work performed is thorough, accurate, and completed in a timely fashion.
- Work effectively without supervision, attending factory-sponsored and dealer-specified training classes as scheduled by management.
- Answer Customer Service phone calls relating to car sale inquiries, ensuring customer car quotes are competitive and reasonable.
- Keep customers updated by phone as to the progress of their vehicle's delivery, informing them when vehicles are ready to be picked up.
- Keep abreast of new equipment, features, and tools available and recommend purchases, accounting for all documents and ensuring that none are missing.
- Follow up with the factory and distributors regarding late vehicle deliveries, complying with strict regulations and requirements of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC).
- Ability to work in adherence to company safety standards at all times, complying with all company policies, standards, and procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Automotive Sales Experience is an asset.
- OMVIC Certification is required.
- Dealer CRM system experience is an asset.
- Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record.
- Strong computer skills.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to be flexible under changing conditions.
- Ability to be creative and persuasive in negotiating.
- Ability to exhibit professionalism with a positive attitude under pressure.
- Well-spoken, friendly, and articulate.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Must be willing to be flexible with work schedules.
- May be required to work on Saturday as per business needs.
