About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our team as Medical Director at Highlands Animal Hospital in North Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional veterinary care to our patients, utilizing your expertise to deliver the best possible outcomes.
  • Oversee medical cases, ensuring accurate estimates and positive outcomes for our veterinary doctors.
  • Review and enhance medical protocols as needed, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and exceptional client service, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with hospital management and leadership to review financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in recruiting qualified Veterinarians, including externships, referrals, and career fairs.
Requirements
  • Proven experience leading a team of veterinary professionals in addressing changes and improvements to medical protocols.
  • Dedication to promoting team-based medicine practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, pet owners, and the community.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring capabilities, with experience teaching, coaching, and guiding rotating internship students.
