Athletics & Wellness Centre Operations Assistant

Branksome Hall is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Athletics & Wellness Centre Assistant. This role will provide exceptional customer service, supervise athletic and recreation set-ups, and maintain a safe and clean environment within the centre.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide quality customer service to internal and external community members, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Supervise athletic and recreation set-ups, ensuring that facilities and equipment are prepared for user groups.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment within the centre, including pool cleaning and testing, facility inspections, and daily operator reports.
- Ensure that all policies, procedures, and user expectations are observed, and communicate any issues with the Director, AWC.
- Occasionally set up events for school use and third-party rentals, as required.
- Experience in athletics, recreation, fitness, and event management, with supervisory experience in a related field.
- Education in Sport Administration, Recreation Management, Hospitality, Physical Education, Kinesiology, or Event Management is an asset.
- CPR and First-Aid training is required, and familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety regulations is essential.
- Effective supervisory, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google suite of products.
- Creative problem-solving and decision-making skills are required, and the ability to move and lift up to 75lbs is necessary.
The Athletics & Wellness Centre Assistant will work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends, with flexibility in terms of working more weekdays in a given week with a reduced schedule on the weekends.
