Athletics & Wellness Centre Operator

Branksome Hall, a leading independent International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for girls, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Athletics & Wellness Centre Assistant. This is a part-time position that requires flexibility in both hours and days of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality customer service to internal and external community members, handling inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Supervise athletic, recreation, and special event set-ups in the building, ensuring a safe and clean environment for users.
- Responsible for opening and securing the Athletics & Wellness Centre and other facility spaces, conducting visual checks for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
- Respond to telephone, in-person, and email queries, maintaining a visitors log and monitoring the front door buzzer and security cameras.
- Provide support to ensure that programs run effectively and user needs are met, including providing direction to visitors, overseeing attendance/check-in requirements, and assisting with equipment needs.
- Ensure the pool is cleaned and tested as required, facility inspections are logged in a timely manner, and a safe and clean environment is maintained throughout the centre.
- Ensure all policies, procedures, and other user expectations are being observed, maintaining a daily operator report and communicating any issues with the Director, AWC.
- Occasional event set-ups for both school use and third-party rentals as required.
Requirements:
- Experience and ongoing involvement in athletics, recreation, fitness, and event management.
- Experience in supervising the operations within the field of athletics, recreation, fitness, and event management.
- CPR and First-Aid training is required.
- Familiar with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Effective supervisory, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google suite of products.
- Creative problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to move and lift up to 75lbs.
