We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and HR Administrator to join our team at Metroland Media Group Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for payroll and HR administration to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll Administration: Process bi-weekly and monthly divisional payrolls, including entering payroll data, running payroll calculations, processing commissions and incentives, and balancing payroll taxes and other payments.
- Payroll Compliance: Ensure accuracy of payroll data, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and maintain detailed records and documentation for audit purposes.
- HR Administration: Provide exceptional customer service and support to HR team, employees, and managers, and collaborate with HR managers to streamline recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Benefits Administration: Manage benefits administration, including open short-term and long-term medical claims, and coordinate with HR Managers and Managers as needed.
- Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field combined with a CPA designation or working towards the designation of PCP.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of processing payroll and experience in HR administration considered an asset.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices, proficiency with payroll/HRIS/Time and Attendance systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 and a hybrid work model with a downtown office location and remote options available.
