Job Summary

FortisBC is seeking a highly skilled Relief System Operator to join our System Control Centre (SCC) Operating team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for relieving the System Operator and performing duties normally carried out by a lower classification employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and perform the duties of the System Operator.
  • Perform tasks and responsibilities as assigned by staff supervisors or delegates.
Requirements
  • NERC certification.
  • Diploma in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively with fellow employees.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and handle stress, especially during emergencies.
