Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Yard Clerk at Compass Transport Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining work records and logs, monitoring personnel workloads and locations, and organizing warehouse and work areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of work activities, including logs and reports.
  • Monitor and coordinate the workloads and locations of personnel to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Organize and maintain a safe and efficient warehouse and work area environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to urgent calls from individuals in life-threatening situations.
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, and coordinate activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment.
  • Record and process information and instructions to coordinate activities of vehicle operators and crews.
  • Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train.
  • Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical demands of the job include standing for long periods, lifting, and bending.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a warehouse and yard environment.
  • May be required to work overtime, including evenings and weekends.
  • Physically demanding work environment.
