Job Title: Yard Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Yard Operations Coordinator to join our team at Compass Transport Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Yard Operations Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining work records and logs, monitoring personnel workloads and locations, and organizing warehouse and work areas. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle operator work hours, mileage, and expenses.
  • Monitor and adjust personnel workloads and locations to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Organize and maintain a safe and efficient warehouse and work area.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to urgent calls from individuals in life-threatening situations.
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, and coordinate activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment.
  • Record and process information and instructions to coordinate activities of vehicle operators and crews.
  • Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.
Requirements:
  • High school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations.
