Family Medicine Physician

Island Health is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team in a rural community in British Columbia. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide longitudinal primary care to patients in the community, working closely with neighboring rural physicians to provide full spectrum Primary Care to Emergency Services in the Mount Waddington region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care to patients in the community
- Participate in on-call ER coverage, averaging six to eight on-call shifts per month
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive care to patients
Remuneration:
Island Health offers various remuneration models, including Fee-For-Service, Longitudinal Family Practice Payment Model, New to Practice or APP clinical service contract. Additionally, you may be eligible for medical on-call payments.
Work Environment:
Our clinics are open Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, offering a flexible schedule. You will have the opportunity to work in a fully owned and operated Island Health facility, providing care to patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Our clinics are located in Port Hardy and Port McNeill, offering a unique opportunity to practice rural health and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
