About the Role

As a Technical Support Specialist at OnX Canada, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional technical support to our end-users. This position requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing timely and effective resolutions to technical issues.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Technical Support Specialist, providing onsite technical support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite technical support to clients, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of computer hardware and software.
  • Respond to technical queries and requests from clients, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, including tickets, incidents, and solutions implemented.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective issue escalation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical support, preferably in an onsite capacity.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid NS driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system or other related ticket systems.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft System Center (SCCM) or Endpoint Manager Consoles.
Work Environment

This position requires working onsite in an office environment within HRM. Travel may be required up to 20% within the province. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, and perform keyboard data entry tasks.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. OnX Canada offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
