Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Primary Care at Northern Health Authority.

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide nursing care to an assigned group of patients/residents according to established policies and procedures and the Standards of Practice for the Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients/residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assess patients/residents' physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs and develop care plans to meet those needs.
  • Implement and evaluate interventions, document information, and act as an advocate for patients/residents.
  • Participate in developing care plans, conducting assessments, and implementing interventions.
  • Respond and report incidents according to established procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a practicing LPN registrant.
  • Current basic cardiac life support certification.
