Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at University Hospital of Northern BC.

About the Role:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will work under the direction of the Unit/Program Manager or designate and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include performing assessments, planning and providing personal care, and performing nursing procedures in accordance with the competency guidelines and scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate and individualized patient care
  • Perform assessments and develop care plans
  • Administer medications and perform nursing procedures
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes

Requirements:
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice as currently required by the BCCNM
