Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our clients.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work within the context of a client and family-centered care model, applying the Nursing Process to assess, plan, provide, and evaluate patient care. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to clients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure informed decision-making
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant
  • One (1) year of recent, related acute care or residential experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills within a specific clinical specialty or patient population
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
