About the Role

MHI Canada Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a skilled Tooling Inspector to join our team. As a Tooling Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and precision of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Engineering Drawings: Review and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Maintain and Repair Precision Measuring Instruments: Calibrate and maintain precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers, to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Document and Report Deviations: Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain Inspection Records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, including measurements, observations, and recommendations.
  • Verify Dimensions of Parts: Verify the dimensions of parts machined using precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • MS Office Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Aviation/aerospace manufacturing.
  • Security and Safety: Ability to pass a criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, flexible, team player, and quick learner.
