Program Manager for Mental Health and Addictions

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to lead its Mental Health and Addictions team. This individual will be accountable to and work under the direction of the Manager for Child and Adolescent services.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Program Manager will provide program leadership by participating in the planning, development, and provision of services. They will foster healthy team communications, coordinate program and team functions, and support a culture of continuous quality improvement and safety.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with the Mental Health and Addictions team and possess effective organizational, leadership, and communication skills. They will demonstrate expertise in evidence-based therapeutic intervention and ensure that all clinical staff provide effective and evidence-based treatment modalities.
About You- A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Counselling, or Occupational Therapy.
- Licensed with the applicable body (NSCSW, NSBEP, or NSCOT).
- Five years' experience working with Mental Health & Addictions intervention.
The selected candidate will draft Standard Operating Procedures, orientation materials, and other guidelines for care. They will also provide leadership to the team in client-centered decision making, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Provide program leadership and participate in the planning, development, and provision of services.
- Foster healthy team communications and coordinate program and team functions.
- Support a culture of continuous quality improvement and safety.
- Draft Standard Operating Procedures, orientation materials, and other guidelines for care.
- Provide leadership to the team in client-centered decision making, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
$44.37 - $51.73 hourly.
The successful candidate may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
