The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our team in driving efficiency and excellence across all aspects of our business. As an ideal candidate, you will have a sharp business mind and proven success managing multiple departments toward maximum productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Lead safety culture at the facility, working closely with the EHS team to ensure compliance
- Improve SQDCP metrics to world-class levels
- Act as a change agent and facilitate Operational Excellence, ensuring buy-in and support across the organization
- Create capacity improvements to match and exceed business growth aspirations through the correct application of Lean methodology
- Ensure the floor has the right parts in the right place at the right time for efficient material flow
- Create SOPs for all processes and train against the standard
- Develop and maintain skills matrices to ensure cross-training and skill succession
- Act as a coach and mentor to the team, creating robust development plans for direct reports and problem resolution
- Collaborate with operational leaders within the group to ensure shared best practice
- Lead, motivate, and support a direct labor team in a time-sensitive and demanding environment
- Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics, achieving productivity targets, reducing cost per unit, eliminating errors, and delivering excellent customer service
- Proven experience implementing Lean methodologies, including Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving Process/A3, SMED, TPM, Standard Work, Kaizen, 5S, etc.
- Experience with developing a Lean implementation roadmap and execution
- Bachelor's degree in operations management, business management, or a related field
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management experience
- Knowledge of general business software, ERP, and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
