Special Education Support Worker for Individuals with Autism

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Support Worker to join our team at the Autism Support Network. As a Special Education Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism in developing life skills and achieving their independence goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students in developing life skills, such as daily living skills, social skills, and emotional regulation.
- Develop and implement individualized education and intervention plans based on the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and supportive environment.
- Provide support and guidance to clients in their daily routines, including meal preparation, household chores, and leisure activities.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Setting: This position will involve working in the client's home, providing one-on-one support and guidance as needed.
Language: English.
Hours: 2 to 20 hours per week.
