Special Education Support Worker for Individuals with Autism

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Support Worker to join our team at the Autism Support Network. As a Special Education Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism in developing life skills and achieving their independence objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students in developing life skills, such as daily living skills, social skills, and communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualized education and intervention plans based on the special needs of clients.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of clients.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Setting: This position will involve working in the client's home, providing one-on-one support and assistance as needed.
Language: English.
Hours of Work: 2 to 20 hours per week.
