Job Description

As a Strategic Project Development Manager at Scotiabank, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs;
  • Maintaining superior knowledge of emerging industry trends across multiple disciplines;
  • Developing and implementing effective project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies;
  • Evaluating and mitigating project risks, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing process enhancements;
  • Providing input to the continuous improvement of processes and adopting latest technologies and methodologies;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A solid CS foundation, including experience in a software engineering and development role, experience with scalability issues, and multi-tiered integration solutions;
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and manage cross-functional teams;
  • Ability to think critically and outside the box to develop innovative solutions;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues;
  • Good knowledge of Global Wealth products and services – nice to have;
  • Good relationship building, influencing, and negotiation skills to build and maintain strong supportive relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
