Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Foreman/Woman to join our team at Reale Landscape Inc. as a key member of our landscaping operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and directing grounds maintenance, supervising and coordinating activities of workers, and managing landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including planning and estimating labour and materials.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, including establishing work schedules and procedures.
  • Manage landscaping projects, including planning, managing, and supervising landscape construction work.
  • Maintain work records and logs, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Tender and administer contracts, and resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services, and manage landscaping projects.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures, and supervise and coordinate activities of workers.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and a valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment, and to handle heavy loads.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
Working Conditions
  • Outdoors, in a hot, noisy, dusty, and physically demanding environment.
  • Heavy equipment, including backhoes, chain saws, forklifts, front end loaders, pick-up trucks, small engine equipment, tractors, and tractor mowers.
  • Automated irrigation systems, and a variety of power tools.
Security and Safety
  • Criminal record check, and a valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work in a secure and safe environment, and to follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Personal Suitability
  • Client focus, initiative, judgement, and a team player attitude.
  • Ability to work independently, and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
