Event Planner Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planner to join our team at The Royal Hotel Chilliwack. As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing conferences, meetings, and special events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote conference and meeting services or special events to clients and stakeholders
  • Inspect and select suitable venues and sites for events
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans to promote events
  • Coordinate and manage event logistics, including catering, audio-visual equipment, and transportation
  • Manage event budgets and negotiate costs with vendors
  • Coordinate and monitor event activities, including setup, staging, and tear-down
  • Confirm and coordinate with speakers, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services for event attendees
  • Research and design special events programs and activities
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in event planning or a related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other event planning software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
