About The Royal Hotel Chilliwack

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing conferences, meetings, and special events at our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning
    • Develop and implement event concepts and themes
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless execution
    • Manage event timelines and budgets
  • Logistics and Coordination
    • Coordinate with hotel staff and external vendors to ensure event details are met
    • Manage event setup, staging, and teardown
    • Coordinate transportation and accommodation arrangements for guests
  • Communication and Marketing
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events
    • Coordinate with speakers, performers, and other event stakeholders
    • Manage event promotions and advertising
  • Financial Management
    • Manage event budgets and financial reports
    • Coordinate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field
  • Experience
    • 2 years of experience in event planning or a related field
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Proficiency in MS Office and event planning software
