About the Role

Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our engineering team in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure timely and within-budget completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource allocation plans, and risk management strategies
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure effective project execution and quality control
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the rail or transportation industry
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management tools, and other relevant software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with rail or transportation projects, including design, construction, and commissioning
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Certifications in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2
