Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Associate to join our team. As a key member of our HR Department, you will be responsible for providing support to our HR, Labour Relations, and Occupational Health & Safety professionals. Your duties will include preparing confidential correspondence, documents, and reports, as well as providing front-line services and support to employees and managers.

You will also participate in the recruitment process, including leading line managers through full cycle recruitment, and create job postings to coordinate our online recruitment and application process. Additionally, you will assist with disability case management, WorkSafe BC reporting, and occupational health and wellness initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess a general knowledge of HR policies, procedures, relevant acts, regulations, guidelines, and collective agreements. You will also have a meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop relationships with various stakeholders.

A degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field, along with relevant experience working in a unionized environment, is required. You must also have a current BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle.

Benefits

This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary range of $76,200 - $85,700 per year, depending on your level of experience. You will also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including a Municipal Pension Plan.

This position requires 35 hours of work per week, with varying hours and days of work. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful problem solver with a can-do attitude, who is passionate about labour relations and eager to progress in a multi-union government environment.
