Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned professional with experience in developing, planning, and executing equity and inclusion programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing APEGA's EDI portfolio, creating long- and short-term strategy plans, and recommending new programs or portfolios. They will also lead the successful completion of grant projects, research funding opportunities, and develop resources to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage APEGA's EDI portfolio, including creating strategy plans and recommending new programs or portfolios
  • Lead the successful completion of grant projects, including timeline development and management, staff and volunteer allocations, financial tracking, and budgeting
  • Research grant and award funding opportunities, provide recommendations to Director, Outreach & Product Services, and assist in developing proposals and/or applications
  • Document, evaluate, and measure portfolio success and report metrics to Director, Outreach & Product Services
  • Host monthly Women in APEGA Advisory Group meetings, attend meetings, develop terms of references, and summarize group recommendations and action items
  • Perform post-event evaluation, including data entry, data analysis, and producing reports for executive or key stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in Science, Engineering, Education, Sociology, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a professional environment in developing, planning, and executing similar programs or events
  • Volunteer management experience is considered an asset
  • Budgetary experience is considered a strong asset
