Job DescriptionAs a Health Care Aide (HCA) with AHS, you will work as a collaborative member of the multi-disciplinary team providing personal assistance to patients who require short-term assistance or ongoing support. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community or health care facilities.
You will assist nurses with the provision of routine care to meet patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation and safety needs. You will also assist with organized activities or programs and observe and report on a patient's mood, health, and wellbeing.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have completion of a Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program may also be considered.
BenefitsWe offer a competitive rate of pay, up to $34.63 per hour, plus a Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 annually. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, disability, and lifestyle considerations.
