Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently offers a Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 annually.

Job Description

This Undergraduate Nursing Employee (UNE) role provides an opportunity for nursing students to consolidate their knowledge and skills acquired in their approved nursing education program.

The UNE will work as an unregulated member of the collaborative healthcare team, providing patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN).

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current enrolment in an approved Alberta nursing education program leading to initial entry to practice as a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse.
  • Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (CPR) certificate.
  • Successful completion of 3rd year of an RN nursing education program and a minimum of 600 hours of clinical practice in an approved RN education program; or currently in the final year of an after-degree RN nursing education program and a minimum of 600 hours of clinical practice in an approved RN education program; or successful completion of 2nd year of an RPN nursing education program and a minimum of 600 hours of clinical practice in an approved RPN education program.
