Your Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients of all ages in our Acute Care, Emergency, or Combined Medical/Surgical department. You will work collaboratively with a friendly and professional team to deliver safe, quality patient-centered care.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive rate of pay, starting at $43.82/hour for Regular Employees and $35.87/hour for Provisional Permit Holders. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, disability, and lifestyle considerations. You will also have opportunities to grow your career through in-house courses and external opportunities.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Rural Acute Care setting
- Perioperative experience or interest in perioperative training
- Obstetrics experience and experience working in the charge RN role
Work Environment
You will be based in the High Prairie Health Complex, which features 30 acute care beds, obstetrics and surgical programs, emergency and outpatient departments, and a full suite of healthcare services. The attached JB Wood Continuing Care Centre has 67 beds.

The Town of High Prairie is located in northern Alberta's Big Lakes County, offering a unique blend of urban and rural living. You will have access to public and Catholic K-12 options, adult and post-secondary programs, and outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, biking, and fishing.
