Job Description

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Architect to join our team in Vaughan. As a leading company in the environmental services industry, we offer exciting opportunities for career advancement in a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of network engineers to ensure the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement network security measures to protect our data, software, and hardware.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to create optimal network designs and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Configure, install, and maintain network devices, including firewalls, access points, routers, switches, and other network equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain network documentation and processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Architect, implement, test, and support networking and security solutions in our environment.
  • Provide Level 3 and above escalation support for our network solutions.
  • Assist in monitoring network performance and making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with network users to resolve system and network problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and relevant certifications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing network solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical consulting.
  • NSE4+, CCNA+, (CCNP/DP+ would be an asset).
  • Proficient in Fortinet, Cisco, and other network technologies.
  • Experience presenting and articulating solutions to IT teams.
  • Experience working with Vendor SE teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Enterprise and Data Center Networking.
  • AWS/Azure Cloud Networking.
  • Next Gen Firewall.
  • Identity and Access Management Solutions.
  • Network Access Control.
  • Scripting and Automation.
