Lead Engineer - Enterprise Network

GFL Environmental is seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer - Enterprise Network to join our team in Vaughan. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping our network infrastructure and ensuring its security and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical development of assigned team members and manage daily tasks in collaboration with internal and external teams or vendors.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement optimal network solutions.
  • Configure, install, and maintain network devices, including firewalls, access points, routers, switches, and other equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain network documentation and processes.
  • Architect, implement, test, and support networking and security solutions in our environment.
  • Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
  • Monitor network performance and make adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.
  • Escalate network issues and work with team members to resolve them.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and relevant certifications.
  • ~5+ years of experience in designing and implementing network solutions.
  • ~5+ years of experience in technical consulting.
  • NSE4+, CCNA+, (CCNP/DP+ would be an asset).
  • Experience with Enterprise and Data Center Networking, AWS/Azure Cloud Networking, Identity and Access Management Solutions, Network Access Control, Scripting and Automation.
  • Strong leadership and customer-oriented focus, with the ability to manage time effectively and work in high-stress environments.
