Business Analyst Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst Consultant to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our Savings and Retirement department, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead requirements analysis and review to identify optimal solutions for business needs.
- Assess IT estimates and determine the MVP required to meet business benefits, balancing project costs and timelines.
- Develop strategic plans through feasibility studies and business cases.
- Consult with management on business needs, stakeholder needs, opportunities, and operational effectiveness.
- Document requirements and facilitate requirements review sessions with business sponsors, project stakeholders, and IT partners.
- Participate in technical analysis meetings and daily stand-ups with IT partners and support Systems Analysts during development of functional specifications.
- Closely work with developers and other IT resources to advocate for the business and ensure user satisfaction.
- Work with Quality Assurance Analysts to ensure test strategy mitigates business risk.
- Support User Acceptance Testing by planning, developing test cases, executing tests, and considering automated testing techniques.
- Support post-implementation testing to ensure coverage of user testing and prevent production issues.
- Identify and escalate project risks and issues.
- Develop and execute Process Redesign implementation plans, leading and coaching the business through implementation and ensuring strong change management.
- Provide coaching and mentorship for Business Analysts/User Acceptance Testers at all levels by assessing gaps and providing training.
- Manage project scope, schedule, reporting, issue tracking, and escalation for non-IT projects.
- Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 5 years as a Lead Business Analyst or Systems Analyst on large IT projects in the financial services or insurance industry.
- Strong experience in Process Redesign, including data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control, and risk analysis.
- Expert-level knowledge of Business Analysis, including process, tools, and techniques.
- Experience developing, coaching, and mentoring Business Analysts/User Acceptance Testers at a junior to senior level.
- Proven success in developing and implementing training programs.
- Ability to write business cases, project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Knowledge and experience with agile development and product ownership.
- Experience developing non-functional requirements.
- Strong organization and time management skills with well-developed project management skills.
- Business Analyst Certification or significant previous experience as a BA.
- Technical Skills: MS Office, MS Visio, HP ALM/Quality Center, Test Automation Tools.
