Anglophone South School District is seeking a reliable and experienced bus driver to transport students safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a valid New Brunswick Driver's License endorsed for School Bus Operation and Air Brakes, as well as the ability to read and write.
About the Role
This role involves driving a school bus on an assigned route, adhering to schedules and ensuring the provision of safe transportation services. The successful candidate will be physically capable of performing tasks such as conducting cleanup and inspection of the bus, as well as maintaining discipline on board.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate the assigned school bus according to Province of New Brunswick applicable legislation and regulations
* Conduct cleanup, checking and inspection of the assigned school bus as required
* Adhere to schedule of run as established by the District
* Maintain discipline and orderly conduct on the school bus according to District policy
Requirements
* Graduation from high school or GED
* Possession of a valid New Brunswick Driver's License endorsed for School Bus Operation and Air Brakes
* Successful completion of the School Bus Driver Training and Orientation Program as provided by the Department of Education
* Possession of a recognized current Standard First Aid Certificate
* Ability to read and write and physically capable of performing assigned tasks
Working Conditions
The successful candidate will work in a scent-reduced environment at all Anglophone South School District facilities.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $60,000-$80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This includes benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a pension plan.
