Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Simcoe County. As a valued member of our long term care facility, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents in accordance with our policies and established standards

• Assist residents with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Encourage and support residents to participate in activities that promote their physical, social, and emotional well-being

• Observe, report, and document any changes in residents' physical and emotional condition

• Collaborate with registered staff to develop and implement individualized care plans

• Participate in resident high-risk rounds and contribute to care conferences as needed

Requirements

• Completion of the Personal Support Worker Certification program

• Previous experience working with seniors or in a long term care facility

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift and move residents as needed

Working Conditions

• This position is located in a long term care facility, with exposure to illnesses and germs possible on a daily basis

• Work schedule to be determined, with shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
