Job Title: Personal Support Worker

At Simcoe County, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a valued member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Assist residents with daily activities, such as eating, walking, and transferring, to promote their independence and well-being.
  • Observe and report any changes in a resident's physical or emotional condition to the registered staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Personal Support Worker Certification program, as per the Long Term Care Homes Act and Regulations.
  • Previous experience working with seniors or in a long-term care facility is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on resident-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
