Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented School Custodian to join our team at 1195110 Ontario Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and well-maintained facility.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment to ensure a safe and functional environment.
  • Perform safety and security checks to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Work with minimal supervision to demonstrate independence and self-motivation.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but willingness to train is essential.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff and students.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Reliability and dependability to ensure a consistent and high-quality service.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in an office building and school or educational institution/establishment, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe environment for students and staff.

Physical Demands
  • Repetitive tasks and bending, crouching, kneeling are required to perform the duties of the job.
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) to perform tasks such as cleaning and maintenance.
Language

The primary language of work is English, and the successful candidate must be fluent in English to effectively interact with staff and students.Work Term

The work term is permanent, and the successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week.
