Brandt is currently seeking a Sales Director for our Lawn & Garden division. The Sales Director will be responsible for driving sales growth and profitability of our wholegoods department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Asset Management: Achieve asset management goals of turn and aging as well as protection of company assets, including new and used wholegood inventory.
- Inventory Management: Provide the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and market share goals.
- Team Management: Manage and develop all employees in the Sales Department to build a motivated and successful workforce focused on long-term success for the company, customers, and employees.
- Market Share Growth: Achieve market share goals as agreed for the long-term success of our manufacturer and the company.
- Market Analysis: Provide feedback and input into future opportunities and competitive pressures.
- Account Management: Assist in the management of branch account receivables in conjunction with the Director of Credit Services and VPO of Operations.
- Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
- Confident decision making skills in regards to financial transactions, sales strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning.
- Available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract will be required.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years' direct work experience in a sales management capacity.
- Experience in the heavy equipment industry strongly preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
- Confident decision making skills in regards to financial transactions, sales strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning.
- Available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract will be required.
