Job Title: Wealth Advisor

Manulife Investment Management (MIM) Advisor Group delivers financial and investment solutions and advice, including financial planning and insurance, to clients across the wealth spectrum.

Job Summary:

The Wealth and Retirement Advisor is a senior member of a team of wealth advisors delivering wealth and retirement advice to Manulife clients. The Advisor will be an employee of Manulife, advising clients from Manulife's Group Retirement, Group Benefits, Insurance, Bank, and other channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead relationship management and financial planning for clients, helping them create financial plans based on their wealth and retirement goals and set up solutions to help them achieve these goals.
  2. Provide financial planning advice and solutions using Manulife's array of investment and portfolio solutions, including best-in-class proprietary and third-party solutions.
  3. Acquire and consolidate assets of clients and work with their families to provide advice.
  4. Connect clients with the right Manulife partners to help continuously meet their needs.
  5. Proactively communicate with clients and respond to developing needs, resolve issues or problems and follow up as appropriate.
Requirements:
  1. University degree and/or 3-5 years industry experience, experience speaking directly with clients and conducting one-on-one client meetings.
  2. Canadian Securities Course (CSC) required.
  3. CIRO license (formerly IIROC license) required.
  4. Life License required (LLQP).
  5. Complete Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) within first 90 days of role.
  6. IQPF licensing preferred (for Quebec only).
  7. CFP preferred.
  8. Ability to develop long-lasting, trusted relationships with stakeholders.
  9. Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  10. Natural propensity towards teamwork and collaboration; proven coachability.
  11. Moderate travel within is required.
  12. Advisor positions available in each of the GTA, Ontario, and Montreal regions.
