Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at the Bulkley Valley District Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and recommend individualized treatments for patients
- Act as the primary resource for drug information, education, and expert advice to healthcare professionals
- Monitor drug prescribing, distribution, and therapy to ensure safe, effective, and rational use of medications
- Maintain accurate records and statistics
- Baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy and current licensure with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
- Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program or a combination of at least one year of hospital experience and advanced education courses
- Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged
- Assessment and Treatment: Demonstrated ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessments
- Teaching: Ability to teach patients and others both one-on-one and in groups
- Knowledge Integration: Integrates best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions
- Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Critical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data to problem-solve and make decisions effectively
- Human Caring and Relationship Centered Practice: Ability to promote patient-centered care that demonstrates care for and with patients and families
- Management: Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives, and establish priorities
- Leadership: Promotes staff morale, engagement, and empowerment
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and a commitment to excellence in the provision of patient care
