Financial Manager for Research Initiatives

Job Summary
The Memorial University is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead the administrative team in support of the Hibernia and Hebron Research & Development initiative. The successful candidate will provide financial leadership, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, as well as human resource management and supervision of the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial and human resources initiatives in collaboration with research teams
- Develop, recommend, and implement financial and administrative policies and procedures
- Provide financial stewardship through oversight of expenditures and financial analysis
- Direct and supervise administrative staff, including organizing and developing responses to public contract initiatives
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience at the managerial level in administration or a related field, including finance and operations management
- Undergraduate degree in business administration or related field from a recognized university
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial reporting systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in business administration and/or professional accounting designation
- Experience with research administration, preferably in an academic setting, managing research accounts, or equivalent relevant experience
Salary and Benefits
$72,832 - $94,409 per annum (Management and Professional)
