Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Manager to join our team at Marble Slab Creamery Halifax. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our food services business.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and possess excellent leadership skills. You will be responsible for managing a team of 3-4 people and must have strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure they are running efficiently
  • Monitor revenues to determine labor costs
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet customer demand
  • Recruit and train new staff members
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Requirements

In order to succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • A permanent contract
  • A minimum of 30 hours per week availability
  • Fluency in English
