Job Overview


Cheerfully support the Membership Manager in a fast-paced setting at CPA Ontario, focusing on multiple high-volume and detailed processes and transactions in a complex regulatory environment. Interact with internal and external customers, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and integrity. Process documents primarily in digital format and develop recommendations for regulatory decisions.


Key Responsibilities


1. Annual Regulatory Processes


Contribute to the annual regulatory processes, including the collection of Annual Membership Dues, Continuing Professional Development Declaration, Annual & Triennial Audits, and more.


2. Internal and External Communications


Help draft internal and external communications, including manual forms, decision letters, and website content review, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and timely delivery.


3. Membership Applications and Processes


Review and recommend membership-related applications and processes accurately and in compliance with regulations, bylaws, policies, and procedures within established timelines.


4. Documentation and Investigation


Collect required documentation, information, and investigation results relating to bankruptcy and insolvency reports of members and coordinate files for management and Registrar review.


5. Member Support and Liaison


Liaise with members, both internal and external, via phone, email, and mail, on yearly applications and daily tasks, responding to membership inquiries and escalated member calls from the Customer Service Center and other internal departments.


6. Collaboration and Process Improvement


Work with other departments to verify membership standing and assist with monthly packaging of membership and award certificates, identifying issues and trends, and contributing to continuous process improvement.


7. Subject Matter Expertise


Act as a subject matter expert and support departmental and organizational projects.


Requirements


A post-secondary graduate with a degree in Business, Office Administration, or a related discipline. Experience in a related field, such as academic, membership, regulatory, or professional services, combined with knowledge of complex bylaws, policies, and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and OneNote); prior experience with Salesforce and Power BI is preferred.
