Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Mobility Global Business Area at IBI Group. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects to meet time, quality, budgetary, and health and safety targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the client relationship to ensure delivery meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Lead and support project leads and key project staff in areas such as project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Deliver rail and transit projects, including commuter rail, bus rapid transit, and light rail.
  • Prepare status reports on projects to be reviewed with the Project Director and advise on any corrective action plans if not performing in accordance with Key Performance Metrics.
  • Continually monitor and manage costs, including procurements, labor, and other costs against the project budget.
  • Coordinate the development of project packages, including scope of work, supporting documentation, and cost estimates.
  • Maintain an overview of the commercial aspects of the project, including contract, invoicing, debt, and client management.
  • Build and manage stakeholder relationships with key stakeholder groups, including municipalities, provincial agencies, transit agencies, and utilities.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops, working groups, meetings, and focus groups that may be delivered in person, virtually, or using hybrid methods.
  • Support change management activities on projects as they arise, including the development of change management strategies, plans, and tactics.
  • Support operational readiness activities on projects as they arise.
  • Coordinate with the project Quality/Safety Manager to ensure that proper measures are in place to assure that quality and safety objectives are being met and to ensure effective project control.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's University Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Hold a Professional Engineering License in the Province of Ontario.
  • 5-8 years of progressive and demonstrable experience managing/leading rail and transit projects in a large matrix organization, interfacing with technical leads and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience managing client relationships.
  • Knowledge in alternate project delivery (P3, DB), and experience in teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants.
  • Knowledge of the transit, transportation, and urban planning sector.
