Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and organized Executive Chef to lead our kitchen operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning menus, estimating food requirements, and supervising kitchen staff. Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Ensure that all menu items are prepared to order and presented in a timely manner.

Kitchen Operations Management

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support personnel. Ensure that all kitchen equipment and facilities are maintained in good working order.

Staff Training and Development

Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures. Identify areas for improvement and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.

Inventory Management

Manage inventory levels of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that the kitchen is always well-stocked and that waste is minimized.

Quality Control

Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Support for Newcomers and Refugees

Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees

Support for Youths

Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment

Support for Indigenous People

Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people

Language

Fluent in English

Work Hours
