Job Title: Chief Financial Officer, Burlington Green Party

Are you interested in finance and politics? We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to join our team at the Burlington Green Party.

About the Role:

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for managing the bank accounts for the Constituency Association (CA) and Riding Association (RA), purchasing and making payments for items required and purchased, managing fundraising accounts, preparing budgets, preparing and filing financial reports as prescribed by the governments of Ontario and Canada for political parties, and reporting financial status at monthly executive meetings.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the organization's mission and vision, and will be willing to learn and take on new responsibilities. As a member of the Executive, you will be expected to meet face-to-face with other members occasionally and to participate in planned events with other members and volunteers.

Requirements:
  • Financial or accounting experience or education is helpful but not necessary
  • Ability to work remotely and meet face-to-face with other members occasionally
  • Commitment to the organization's mission and vision
