Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Internal Audit and Assurance Manager to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the organization's financial and operational processes are transparent, efficient, and compliant with regulations.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in audit, finance, or operations, preferably within a large and complex IT environment. A professional accounting designation (CPA) is required, and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, and a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), assurance standards, and relevant legislation.

As a key member of the Internal Audit and Advisory Services team, you will be responsible for managing risk-based internal audits, advisory engagements, and investigations across Fraser Health. Your primary objectives will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans for internal audits that align with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
  • Providing guidance and support to management on internal control and risk matters.
  • Leading complex projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
