Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Transplant Endocrinologist to join our team at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH). As a Transplant Endocrinologist, you will provide comprehensive endocrinological care to patients undergoing solid organ and islet cell transplants.
- You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate immune therapies and endocrinological management.
- Conduct patient assessments, including physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and interpretation of laboratory results.
- Monitor and manage hormonal therapies and immunosuppressive regimens to optimize transplant outcomes.
- Engage in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of the transplant endocrinology field through publications and presentations.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and provide timely consultations for inpatient and outpatient referrals.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Full certification
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory membership
- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) – Mandatory certification
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons certification in Endocrinology
- Advanced training and expertise in Transplant Endocrinology, specifically with solid organ, hematologic, and islet cell transplant patients
- Demonstrated experience with immune therapies and their applications in transplant medicine.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of endocrinology and transplantation.
