Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Professional to join our Leukemia and Bone Marrow Transplant team at Vancouver General Hospital. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage common issues arising in LBMT patients, including mucositis, electrolyte abnormalities, respiratory compromise, pain control, delirium, developing sepsis, bleeding, and care of complex patients.
  • Perform within the scope of Associate Physician duties and responsibilities.
  • Interact and adapt effectively with other professionals in complex, dynamic situations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in diagnosing and managing common issues in LBMT patients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills, including with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Computer and written communication skills, including order entry, clinical documentation, and ability to review relevant diagnostic information and health history.
